Linggu Mai (Mother Tongue) A KRISTANG KEEPSAKE

Tan Sri Datuk Clifford Herbert receiving 'Linggu Mai' from the author'Linggu Mai' was launched on the 1st.September 2004 by Tan Sri Datuk Clifford Herbert at the Selangor and Federal Territory Eurasian Association, 167 Jalan Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur.

Datuk Richard Robless, Brig. Gen. (R) and President of SAFTEA addresed the gathering of Kristangs and well wishers at the Launch.

Mrs.Maria Liew, PA to the Honorary Portuguese Consul, Datuk Eugenio Da Luz Campos read out a Congratulatory Message from the Honorary Portuguese Consulate, Malaysia


Joan Margaret Marbeck addressed the gathering first in Kristang and then asked permission (pidih lisensia) from the Kristangs who understood her Speech, to translate her address in English. 'Podih, podih' they responded. The Speech is recorded in the Preface of Linggu Mai and can be heard in the Speech and Song Compact Disc.
